We meet every Sunday for Bible class at 9:00am and worship at 10:00am and 5:00pm. We also meet for Bible class at 6:30pm on Wednesday evenings. The Ridgecrest "Youth Room" is located upstairs and is devoted to the youth group and includes a ping-pong table, a foosball table, & a skee-ball table. The youth room is open on Wednesday nights for teenagers to enjoy fun and fellowship before and after Bible class. Aside from regular devotional times, RCYG also has many activities for our youth members including movie nights, game nights, fellowship nights, lock-ins, and much more. The activities are developed to cultivate friendships with each other and to draw nearer to God.
We offer a Children's Bible Hour on Sunday mornings during the sermon giving parents of young children a chance to listen and take notes without distraction. Children's Bible Hour is for children in pre-K through 3rd grade. The children sing songs, engage in arts and crafts, experience an interactive lesson, learn Bible verses, and occasionally have a visit from some puppets!
For many years our congregation partnered with the Eastside Church of Christ to host the Whiz Kids program at our building each week. Whiz Kids partners with local schools to provide at-risk children with tutoring and positive role models. Unfortunately, due to COVID, we are not currently involved in the program although it remains near and dear to our hearts. CLICK HERE to go to the official Whiz Kids website.
Vacation Bible School (VBS) is a community-wide outreach and ministry time held each summer. VBS meets for a couple of hours in the evening for three days once a year. VBS connects with kids, ages 3yrs to 5th grade, through skits, singing, arts and crafts, games, Bible lessons, puppets, and a whole lot of fun! VBS 2018 was held July 8th - 10th with a "Shipwrecked - Rescued by Jesus" theme.
Home Groups is a monthly time where we break into smaller groups and meet in a few different homes on a Sunday evening. Our Home Groups consist of around 15-20 members of all ages and meet at a member's home for food, fellowship, and a devotional time. This is a wonderful way to meet new people and build strong relationships. If you feel uncomfortable visiting on a Sunday morning then you might feel more comfortable visiting a Home Group first!
